Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I hope you will join me for a cup of tea!

What’s next for The Tea Squirrel?

Dear tea friends,

I hope your 2022 is off to a great start!

This blog post is a little different from all my other posts but I think it’s necessary. I haven’t been very active here on the blog or on social media lately and I wanted to reach out to you to update you on what’s next for The Tea Squirrel.

Since the beginning of January, I have been on a social media fast, specifically I’ve deleted the Instagram and Facebook apps from my phone. I don’t know how long this will last but I’m happy to report that it’s been a positive experience. You don’t need me to tell you how distracting and how alienating from real life social media can be. I felt like I had become disconnected from my inner voice and creativity, which were drowned by the content I was consuming. I’ve also wanted to dedicate more time to deepening personal relationships with people, instead of exclusively exchanging messages on a chat (which I really enjoy but I think there are better ways to connect). It might be a by-product of the pandemic, I don’t know, but I want to invest my time and energy more wisely. Speaking of which, I’ve been working on and off on a project since 2020 and it’s time for me to give it my full attention. This project is a curated guide book (possibly an ebook) about tea people and tea places in Los Angeles.

You might see new blog posts on The Tea Squirrel, but not on a regular basis. Are there any tea-related topics you’d like me to write a blog post on? Suggestions and requests are always gladly considered.

So, dear tea friends, if you’d like to catch up with me over tea, reach out to me via email and let’s set up a video call to have tea together.

If you are a tea business owner and you’d like to work with me, please reach out to me via email and if my schedule allows it, I’d be happy to work with you. Please note that I only accept paid collaborations, I don’t work for free in exchange for tea samples. Thanks for understanding.

My email address is contact DOT theteasquirrel AT gmail DOT com

Another thing I don’t have time or energy for is spam emails ;-)
